Basketball Recap: St. Michael-Albertville Takes a Loss

On Monday, St. Michael-Albertville faced Eden Prairie in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The St. Michael-Albertville Knights took a blow against the Eden Prairie Eagles, falling 87-59. The Knights' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Leading Eden Prairie to victory were Tori Schlagel and Rae Ehrman. Schlagel went 11 of 24 en route to 33 points in addition to six boards and five assists, while Ehrman shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds. What's more, Ehrman also racked up four steals, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ella Hardwick, who posted 13 points.

St. Michael-Albertville's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Eden Prairie, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Michael-Albertville will square off against Edina at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eden Prairie, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Minnetonka at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
