Shoemaker extended their losing streak to five on Monday, dropping them down to 2-6. They took a 23-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ellison Eagles. Even though they lost, the Wolves' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.8 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
As for Ellison, the win got them back to even at 4-4-1. The game was the first time they have beaten Shoemaker on their field since April 6, 2021.
For Ellison's part, Djimon Pinkney was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four runs gave Pinkney a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of James Fournier, who went 4-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple.
