Baseball Game Preview: Meadowdale Mavericks vs. Archbishop Murphy Wildcats

For the second straight game, Meadowdale will face off against Archbishop Murphy. Meadowdale is taking a road trip to face off against Archbishop Murphy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meadowdale is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Meadowdale didn't have quite enough to beat Archbishop Murphy and fell 5-4.

Tristan Dodds spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Meadowdale saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Braithwaite, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. That run marked the first that Braithwaite scored this season.

Meadowdale's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Archbishop Murphy, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
