Baseball Recap: Sylacauga Takes a Loss

Sylacauga fell victim to Briarwood Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Sylacauga saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Mims, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Sylacauga's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Briarwood Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.

While Sylacauga had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
