Basketball Game Preview: Fowler Falcons vs. Jamesville-DeWitt Red Rams

Fowler is 0-7 against Jamesville-DeWitt since February of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Fowler Falcons will take on the Jamesville-DeWitt Red Rams at 6:45 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Wednesday, Fowler came up short against Oswego and fell 73-61. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Jamesville-DeWitt didn't have too much breathing room in their game against McQuaid Jesuit on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 61-55 win. Given the Red Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Knights are ranked 337th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jamesville-DeWitt has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points per game. As for Fowler, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Fowler came up short against Jamesville-DeWitt in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 74-63. Can Fowler avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
