Softball Game Preview: Burbank Titans vs. Florin Panthers

The Burbank Titans will head out to face off against the Florin Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Burbank is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 19 runs per game this season.

Burbank lost 15-3 to West Campus on Friday.

MARLIE JARDINES was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. JARDINES is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Florin came into Wednesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 16-14 victory over Valley on Wednesday. The game was the first time the Panthers have beaten the Vikings on their field since April 12, 2018.

Burbank dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Florin, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-7.

Burbank came up short against Florin when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 31-27. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
