Volleyball Game Preview: Hayesville Yellowjackets vs. Murphy Bulldogs

The Hayesville Yellowjackets will face off against the Murphy Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hayesville is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.

On Tuesday, Hayesville earned a 3-1 win over Andrews.

Hayesville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-23, 25-15, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Murphy posted their closest victory since August 18th on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Swain County. The game was the first time the Bulldogs have beaten the Maroon Devils on their court since October 18, 2022.

Murphy now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Hayesville, their victory bumped their record up to 22-3.

Everything went Hayesville's way against Murphy when the teams last played back in September, as Hayesville made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Yellowjackets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
