Basketball Game Preview: Post Falls Trojans vs. Lewiston Bengals

Post Falls hasn't had much luck against Lewiston recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Post Falls Trojans will venture away from home to take on the Lewiston Bengals at 7:00 p.m. Post Falls will be strutting in after a victory while Lewiston will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Post Falls beat Lakeland 68-62. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Hawks are ranked 49th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Lewiston came up short against Lake City on Thursday and fell 72-65.

Post Falls is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points over those games. As for Lewiston, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-3.

Post Falls might still be hurting after the 65-45 loss they got from Lewiston in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Post Falls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
