Volleyball Recap: Coldwater Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Coldwater lost against Harper Creek back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Cardinals fell just short of the Beavers by a score of 3-2. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Coldwater took Harper Creek into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking nine-point loss. The final score came out to 26-28, 25-19, 25-16, 22-25, 15-6.

Aubrey Gebbink paced Coldwater's offense, picking up 13 kills. Gebbink got some help from Brooklyn Closson and her 23 assists. Finally, Gebbink was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Coldwater's loss dropped their record down to 14-11-4. As for Harper Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season.

Coldwater has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Portage Northern on the 11th. As for Harper Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Frankenmuth on the 11th.
