Basketball Recap: Douglas Falls Short of Buffalo in the Playoffs

Douglas and Buffalo squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Douglas had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 66-65 to the Buffalo Bison. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Bison this season, with their most recent defeat being a 60-59 loss last Saturday.

Buffalo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zayne Huber led the charge by shooting 69% from the field to rack up 25 points. The dominant performance also gave Huber a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (80%). Another player making a difference was Konnor Rodriguez, who went 7-for-12 en route to 18 points and seven rebounds.

Douglas has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-10 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Buffalo and bumps their season record up to 17-10.

As of now, neither Douglas nor Buffalo have any future games scheduled.
