Recap: High Point Christian Academy Cougars vs. Greensboro Day School Bengals
On Tuesday, the High Point Christian Academy Cougars faced the Greensboro Day School Bengals in a battle between two of the state's top teams. High Point Christian Academy fell 58-50 to Greensboro Day School. High Point Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Greensboro Day School apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Angel Walker and Kylie Torrence certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Walker scored 17 points, while Torrence scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Walker has scored all season.
This is the second loss in a row for High Point Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 16-3. As for Greensboro Day School, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-4.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Caldwell Academy the next time they take the court. High Point Christian Academy will host Caldwell Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while Greensboro Day School will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
