San Gorgonio is a perfect 10-0 against Arroyo Valley since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The San Gorgonio Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Arroyo Valley Hawks at 3:45 p.m.

San Gorgonio is headed into the game having just posted their closest victory since April 11, 2024 on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Banning 6-5.

The team relied heavily on Mylia Laban, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Arroyo Valley and Yucca Valley finished up on equal footing with an 11-11 draw on Wednesday.

San Gorgonio has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. Arroyo Valley's tie gives them a new season record of 2-5-2.

San Gorgonio came out on top in a nail-biter against Arroyo Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 7-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for San Gorgonio since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
