Volleyball Recap: Clay Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Clay entered their tilt with Bowling Green on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bobcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Clay was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-20.

Eme Goetz paced Clay's offense, picking up 21 kills. Goetz got some help from Hayden Rodriguez and her 36 assists. Rodriguez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Clay's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Bowling Green, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-16.

Looking ahead, Clay will take on Findlay at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bowling Green, they will challenge Maumee at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
