Baseball Recap: Notre Dame-Green Pond Takes a Loss

If Notre Dame-Green Pond was riding high fresh off their 10-3 takedown of Wilson Area last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders fell just short of the Pen Argyl Green Knights by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Green Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Jason Frederick made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Clemente Cintron, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Notre Dame-Green Pond has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Pen Argyl, the win got them back to even at 5-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Notre Dame-Green Pond is set to take on their familiar foe Salisbury Township at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Pen Argyl will challenge rival Northwestern Lehigh at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
