Baseball Recap: Horizon Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Horizon posted their closest win since April 22, 2025 on Wednesday. They skirted past the Arizona College Prep Knights 10-9. The victory was some much needed relief for the Huskies as it spelled an end to their nine-game losing streak.

Jackson Weber was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Horizon is 2-1 when Weber posts three or more RBI, but 3-13 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jake Giraud, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Horizon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2025.

Horizon's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 5-14. As for Arizona College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.
