Softball Recap: New Castle Comes Up Short

After flying high against Penn Hills last Monday, New Castle came back down to earth. The Hurricanes came up short against the North Hills Indians on Wednesday, falling 10-4.

Keara Mangieri made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Aliyah Stalczynski, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

New Castle has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for North Hills, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coincidentally, New Castle and North Hills will both be playing Mars the next time they take the field. The Indians will head out to face the Fightin' Planets at 3:45 p.m. on Friday, while the Hurricanes will head out to face them at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
