League recap: Crutcher races to league-leading run for Evansville Bosse

Southern Indiana recap October 22, 2013

Evansville Bosse's Carrington Crutcher rumbled for the longest rushing play in Southern Indiana this season in his game against Evansville Harrison last week. Crutcher ran for 82 yards on the play and finished with 204 on the day as his team defeated the Warriors.

Evansville Mater Dei added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Evansville Reitz, 16-14. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Wildcats.

The Panthers' dynamic duo of Austin Reagan and Malik Higgins proved to be unstoppable against Evansville Mater Dei, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Reagan threw for 220 yards and 2 touchdowns and Higgins had 145 yards receiving. Isaiah Douglas helped Evansville Reitz's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 36 yards.

He went 18-28 with 1 interception.

Evansville Bosse's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ian Nunley has thrown for 2,194 yards and 24 touchdowns this season, while Nick Hansen has 39 catches for 671 yards.

De'Wayne Esters of the Evansville Reitz is only 83 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 153 carries Esters has accumulated 917 yard this year.

Mike Goebel's team and Andy Hape's team played the closest game in the league this week, with Mike Goebel's team eventually emerging with a 16-14 victory.
