Basketball Recap: Arkansas City Takes a Loss

Arkansas City played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 72-45 loss at the hands of the South Cougars. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured seven losses in a row dating back to last season.

Jace Humphrey went supernova for South, almost dropping a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. Kobie Henley was another key player, going 5 for 9 on his way to 15 points.

Arkansas City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for South, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-1.

Arkansas City will head out to square off against Andover Central at 7:30 p.m. on December 17th. As for South, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-59 loss against Salina Central on the 13th.
