Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Marais des Cygnes Valley walked away with it. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Wakefield Bombers on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Marais des Cygnes Valley took both sets by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-4.

Marais des Cygnes Valley can attribute much of their success to Ella Reed, who had six aces. Those six aces gave Reed a new career-high.

Marais des Cygnes Valley's victory bumped their record up to 36-2. As for Wakefield, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-24-1.

As of now, neither Marais des Cygnes Valley nor the Bombers have any future games scheduled.
