East Surry has gone a perfect 10-0 against Mount Airy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Cardinals will look to defend their home court against the Granite Bears at 7:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, East Surry came up short against Surry Central and fell 3-1. While the Cardinals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Golden Eagles 25-14 in the first set.

East Surry started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-15.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Mount Airy rose to the challenge on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Bearcats. The win was some much needed relief for the Granite Bears as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Mount Airy's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for East Surry, their defeat ended a six-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-6.

East Surry took their win against Mount Airy when the teams last played last Thursday by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Granite Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
