Basketball Recap: Roselle Park Panthers vs. Metuchen Bulldogs

Roselle Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 59-49 to the Metuchen Bulldogs. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Cameron Hayes-Durina was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 26 points and 12 boards for Metuchen. With that strong performance, Hayes-Durina is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Woods, who posted 16 points and eight rebounds.

Roselle Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Metuchen, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Roselle Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Metuchen, they will challenge Spotswood at 7:00 p.m. on February 27th. One thing working in Spotswood's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten games.
