Serena waltzed into their game on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They took down the Reed-Custer Comets 42-24. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskers also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.

Reed-Custer's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gwen Stewart, who posted seven points and five rebounds.

Serena pushed their record up to 19-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points per game. As for Reed-Custer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Serena will host Hiawatha at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Serena is facing Hiawatha at the right time seeing as Hiawatha is stuck on a 21-game losing streak. As for Reed-Custer, they will welcome Herscher at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
