Shelbyville falls despite strong effort from Dru Clark

The Shelbyville Rams and the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but sadly the Shelbyville Rams had to settle for second. They took a 44-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. Shelbyville's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Shelbyville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dru Clark. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds. Clark is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last seven games she's played. Kenzie Jones was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Shelbyville's defeat dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Maroa-Forsyth, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 19 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.

Shelbyville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Maroa-Forsyth also has no future games currently scheduled.
