Basketball Recap: Coyle Comes Up Short

If Coyle was feeling good fresh off their 60-30 takedown of Carney on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bluejackets took a blow against the Frontier Mustangs on Friday, falling 81-38. The loss continues a trend for the Bluejackets in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost eight in a row.

Coyle's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Camryn Wagner, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 15 points, and Heaven Coleman, who posted ten points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Anayah Davis also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Coyle's loss dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Frontier, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10.

Looking ahead, Coyle will square off against Fargo/Gage/Fort Supply at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Frontier, they will head out on the road to challenge Seiling at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
