Winchester Thurston had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They greeted the New Year with with a 65-51 victory over Propel Braddock Hills. For Winchester Thurston, this counts as revenge for the 71-57 defeat Propel Braddock Hills walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.

Despite the loss, Propel Braddock Hills still got an impressive performance from Jarell Santiago , who scored ten points along with eight rebounds. Kato Hill was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine rebounds.

Even though they lost, Propel Braddock Hills were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Winchester Thurston pushed their record up to 5-5 with that win, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30 points. As for Propel Braddock Hills, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Hopefully Bishop Canevin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
