The Greenacres Christian Panthers' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves at 5:30 p.m. on November 30th. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Greenacres Christian pushed their score all the way to 61 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 73-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Somerset College Prep Academy.
Greenacres Christian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of David Mine, who scored 23 points along with 9 rebounds, and Joshua Barthelamy who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Barthelamy scored a full 32.8% of Greenacres Christian's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Corey Antoine was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 7 assists.
Meanwhile, Oxbridge Academy pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 66-58 to Palm Beach Gardens. Oxbridge Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite their loss, Oxbridge Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jarret Mauvais, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Edmyer St Jean, who scored 13 points along with 3 steals.
The last time Greenacres Christian won on the road was back last Tuesday. Having now lost three straight away contests, they've bumped their record down to 0-3. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Oxbridge Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
