Softball Recap: Maret Has No Trouble Against St. Andrew's Episcopal

Maret's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 29-11 margin over the St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions. The Frogs haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Maret got a massive performance out of Sophia Trendl, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with seven stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs Trendl has posted since back in March of 2024. Zahra Doriwala was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing six bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

Maret now has a winning record of 2-1. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maret will square off against School Without Walls at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, a feisty cat fight will be fought as St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions face off against Potomac School Panthers at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
