Soccer Recap: Piedmont Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Piedmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Porter Ridge Pirates. While losing is never fun, Piedmont can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 238th, while Porter Ridge are ranked 22nd).

Piedmont's loss dropped their record down to 3-13-4. As for Porter Ridge, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-3-2.

Piedmont wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 4-3 win against Sun Valley on the 28th. As for Porter Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 defeat against Marvin Ridge on the 22nd.
