Basketball Recap: Grace Heston's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Christian Fellowship over Van-Far

On Monday, Christian Fellowship ended up a good deal behind the Van-Far Indians and lost 46-27. The match marked Christian Fellowship's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Christian Fellowship lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Grace Heston, who posted four points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Grathwohl, who had 11 points and six rebounds.

Van-Far got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Khloe Wallace out in front who put up 11 points and six assists. The dominant performance gave Wallace a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Elliott Utterback, who earned 15 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Christian Fellowship and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Van-Far, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Fellowship will venture away from home to face off against La Monte at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Christian Fellowship is facing La Monte at the right time seeing as La Monte is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Van-Far, they will head out to take on North Callaway at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
