Basketball Recap: Westfield School Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Westfield School had won five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 3-0 to make it six. They enjoyed a cozy 53-34 win over the Piedmont Academy Cougars. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

As for Piedmont Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly 19 points.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cam Moss, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Griswell, who scored 11 points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westfield School will square off against Southland Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Piedmont Academy, they will take on Gatewood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
