Yulee took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They secured a 54-49 W over the West Nassau Warriors. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Yulee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chase Cannone, who posted 19 points. Jayden Quarterman was another key player, putting up nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Yulee smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Nassau only pulled down nine offensive rebounds.

West Nassau's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braydon Taylor, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 14 boards. Taylor is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last eight games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Thrift, who shot 63% from the field en route to 16 points.

Yulee has already played their next contest, an 80-48 loss against Fletcher on the 18th. As for West Nassau, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-52 defeat against Bishop Snyder on the 19th.
