Baseball Recap: Jesuit Has No Trouble Against Granite Bay

Jesuit won against Granite Bay on Monday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Marauders blew past the Grizzlies 9-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-2 on Monday.

Eric Erdmann was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Javier Ramirez was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Walczykowski, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Jesuit was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Granite Bay only posted a batting average of .185.

Jesuit is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Granite Bay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-16.

Coming up, Jesuit will head out to challenge Bradshaw Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Granite Bay, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Whitney at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Grizzlies surely won't give up without a fight.
