Baseball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Austin's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Mankato West Scarlets on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Packers in their meetings with the Scarlets: they've now lost five in a row.

Austin's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Mankato West, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Austin will square off against Kasson-Mantorville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mankato West, they will take on Red Wing at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
