Baseball Recap: St. Vincent de Paul Takes a Loss

St. Vincent de Paul was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 6-1 to the Santa Rosa Panthers. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly five runs.

St. Vincent de Paul saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Hankins, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

St. Vincent de Paul's record is now 2-6. As for Santa Rosa, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Looking ahead, St. Vincent de Paul is taking a road trip to square off against Healdsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Healdsburg's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so St. Vincent de Paul's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Santa Rosa, they will be playing at home against Montgomery at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Santa Rosa's pitchers better be ready for this one: Montgomery has averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
