Softball Recap: Community Vikings/Viqueens vs. Cannon County Lions
Community put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They never let the Cannon County Lions onto the board and left with a 10-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Community also won the last time the pair played back in March.
Community let Anna Haskins and Taylar Wessner loose on the outfield. Haskins scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Wessner scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenzie Tucker, who went 1-for-3 with a triple and two RBI.
Community has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Cannon County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11.
