Volleyball Game Preview: Granger Lancers vs. Kearns Cougars

The Granger Lancers will square off against the Kearns Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Granger came up short against Taylorsville and fell 3-1.

The 3-1 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 23-25, 25-23, 25-22.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Kearns, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against Cyprus by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.

Kearns was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-23, 20-25, 25-16.

Granger has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for Kearns, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11.

Granger took their win against Kearns when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
