Volleyball Recap: Roncalli Catholic Takes a Loss

Roncalli Catholic lost against York back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Crimson Pride fell 2-0 to the Dukes.

While Roncalli Catholic ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-19.

Makenna Anthofer paced Roncalli Catholic's offense, picking up five kills. Anthofer got some help from Addie Clarke and her ten assists. Clarke was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Roncalli Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for York, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coincidentally, Roncalli Catholic and York will both be playing Platteview the next time they take the court. The Dukes will head out to face the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Crimson Pride will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
