Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fletcher). They blew past the First Coast Buccaneers 6-1 on Wednesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Fletcher's offense was hitting First Coast from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Justin VanWie led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The victory made it two in a row for Fletcher and bumps their season record up to 4-6-2. As for First Coast, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-3-2.

Fletcher will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Johns Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Fletcher will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last. First Coast has already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Yulee on the 19th.
