Basketball Recap: Half Moon Bay Comes Up Short on the Road Against Saint Francis

Half Moon Bay kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 64-55 to the Saint Francis Lancers. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Saint Francis to victory, but perhaps none more so than Devin Turner, who shot 56% from the field en route to 16 points and five boards. Weston Edwards was another key player, going 5-for-12 to rack up 15 points.

The victory was the third in a row for Saint Francis, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Half Moon Bay has already played their next matchup, a 56-46 win against Urban on the 6th. As for Saint Francis, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-38 victory against Lynbrook on the 2nd.
