Football Recap: St. Anthony Comes Up Short

St. Anthony lost against Torrance back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Saints were beaten by the Tartars 45-7. The Saints were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Gibson Turner looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 172 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes.

St. Anthony's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Torrance, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Anthony will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Torrance, they will face off against Cypress at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
