Baseball Recap: Parkland Has No Trouble Against Quakertown

After only one run in their last matchup, Parkland made sure to put some runs up on the board against Quakertown on Friday. Parkland put the hurt on Quakertown with a sharp 17-1 win. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered an 11-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Chase Brunner made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Parkland got a massive performance out of Will Dobil, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs Dobil has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Scherff, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Parkland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Quakertown only posted an OBP of .250.

Parkland now has a winning record of 2-1.

Parkland has already played their next game, a 7-0 victory against Whitehall on the 26th. As for Quakertown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-1 loss against Central Bucks West on the 26th.
