Baseball Recap: Spoto Comes Up Short

Spoto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 19-2 to the Steinbrenner Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 15-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Spoto saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devin Dukes, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Spoto's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Steinbrenner, they now also have a winning record of 4-3.

Spoto wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-7 win against Tampa Bay Tech on the 1st. As for Steinbrenner, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Bloomingdale on the 1st.
