The Rangers' pitcher stepped up to hand Palmer Ridge an 11-0 shutout on Thursday. That looming 11-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rangers yet this season.
Hunter Morgan was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Fox, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Lewis-Palmer always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Golden had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They blew past the Spartans 18-3. The result was nothing new for the Demons, who have now won four games by ten runs or more so far this season.
Taden Svendsen looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits.
At the plate, Golden got a massive performance out of Luca Casali, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Dylan Paulson, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.
Lewis-Palmer pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 8.6 runs this season. As for Golden, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lewis-Palmer has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Golden struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
