Football Game Preview: Harvest Christian Academy Saints vs. Jubilee Lake View University Prep Rams

The Harvest Christian Academy Saints will face off against the Jubilee Lake View University Prep Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harvest Christian Academy is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Harvest Christian Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past King's Academy, posting a 58-12 win. The Saints might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by 23 points or more this season.

Harvest Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Daxton Reeves and Tobias Teagal, who each picked up one interception apiece. Another thorn in King's Academy's side was Reeves, who picked up a sack and made six total tackles in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Jubilee Lake View University Prep didn't have too much trouble with Arlington Heights Christian on Friday as they won 45-28. Considering the Rams' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Harvest Christian Academy better keep an eye on Richard Benitez. He was instrumental in Jubilee Lake View University Prep's win, rushing for 184 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.8 yards per carry, and also picking up 102 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Benitez's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 111 rushing yards. Damien Duarte also helped with two scores in total.

One reason for the win was Jubilee Lake View University Prep's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Jesse Santoya refused to say out of the backfield, picking up two sacks all by himself.

Harvest Christian Academy's record now sits at 10-0. As for Jubilee Lake View University Prep, their record is now 9-2.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Harvest Christian Academy has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 165.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Jubilee Lake View University Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 172.3 rushing yards.
