Football Game Preview: Petal Panthers vs. Brandon Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Petal Panthers will head out to take on the Brandon Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Petal will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Petal is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Mississippi's top teams: Oak Grove, who was ranked 13th at the time (Petal was ranked eighth). The Panthers came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 28-21 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Brandon posted their closest win since September 20, 2024 last Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Northwest Rankin 3-0. The three-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The win got Brandon back to even at 3-3. As for Petal, their record is now 5-2.

Petal was taken down by Brandon 39-10 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
