Basketball Recap: Fort Zumwalt East Comes Up Short

Fort Zumwalt East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a hard 61-42 fall against the St. Charles Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 62-44 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Fort Zumwalt East's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for St. Charles, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Fort Zumwalt East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-36 loss against Elsberry on the 19th. As for St. Charles, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Warrenton at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
