Fort Hill entered their tilt with Southern on Monday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They escaped with a win against the Southern Rams by the margin of a single free throw, 57-56. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Sentinels also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brayden Upole, who went 8 for 18 en route to 23 points. Another player making a difference was Jared Haskiell, who posted 17 points and five steals.

Fort Hill's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Southern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Hill has already played their next contest (against Mountain Ridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Southern will square off against Tucker County at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Tucker County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 68.5 points per game this season.
