The Fort Dorchester Patriots and the Conway Tigers will compete for holiday cheer at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Fort Dorchester is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.2 points per game this season.

Fort Dorchester is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Goose Creek just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 52-44 to the Gators. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Gators are ranked sixth).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Maricious Dawson, who shot 46% from the field to rack up 15 points and seven rebounds. DeOndre Haynes was another key player, putting up ten points and five steals.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Conway duked it out with Franklin County on Saturday. The Tigers came out on top against the Lions by a score of 58-51.

The win got Conway back to even at 4-4. As for Fort Dorchester, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 6-3.
