Basketball Recap: J.F. Webb Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

J.F. Webb unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Middle Creek Mustangs on Tuesday, falling 63-43. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Middle Creek got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Amy Smith out in front who went 5-for-9 to rack up 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emme Blanks, who shot 67% from the field en route to 12 points.

Coming up, J.F. Webb is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Vance County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Middle Creek, they will venture away from home to face off against Seaforth at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
