Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Labette County). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Parsons Vikings a 12-0 shutout on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Grizzlies as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Labette County's win bumped their record up to 4-9-1. As for Parsons, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Parsons has already played their next game, a 16-1 loss against Fort Scott on the 9th. Hopefully Labette County paid attention to the Vikings' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Vikings on Monday.
